Whole house reverse osmosis system with Dab mini booster pump
When your water can not be fixed by traditional filtration, reverse osmosis is the solution. Pictured here is an 800 gallon per day reverse osmosis system with pre and post filtration. The supply water for the reverse osmosis unit is first treated through a twin demand water softening system, helping the unit operate more efficiently while extending the life of the sensitive membrane.
The water passes through the reverse osmosis unit and is then fed into a 300 gallon storage tank. This tank is replenished throughout the day as water is used. The water in this tank is controlled by a Dab E.SYBOX mini 3 booster pump which provides constant pressure to all faucets and fixtures.
Before the reverse osmosis water enters the home, it passes through a PH neutralizing tank and a sub micron Ultra D filter to ensure that not only is your water contaminant free, but safe for all pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
Water softening system
Pictured here is a water softening system with an 89 digital control valve. This particular mineral tank is a 10 x 54 with 1.5 cubic feet of ion exchange resin. With proper maintenance, the resin will last anywhere from 15 to 20 years. In order to run properly, water softening salt pellets will need to be added periodically.
Water softeners help remove iron, make your skin and hair feel smoother, increase the life of appliances and fixtures, reduce the amount of soap and detergent needed to clean properly, and eliminates scale build up on surfaces and dishes.
PH neutralizer & water softener
The two most common issues with well water are low PH and hardness (excessive minerals). This system here raises the ph through a neutralizer that utilizes crushed limestone (calcium) and then softens the water through a standard water softener. Both tanks are equipped with an 89 series control valve.
Radon mitigation system
Radon is a gas that can be found in some wells and is believed to be carcinogenic over long term exposure. When a test reveals high levels of radon, there are two means of mitigation, carbon removal and aeration. Seen here is an aerator used to treat very high levels of radon.
The well water fills the unit where a blower aerates the water and expels the gas through a pvc stack that runs to the top of the house, over the roof, and clear of all windows. This system is highly efficient when it comes to the consistent mitigation of radon with minimal maintenance.
Point of use reverse osmosis system
For those who neither require or desire a full house reverse osmosis system, there is the Pura point of use reverse osmosis system. This unit mounts under your sink or in the basement and provides 50 to 75 GPD of clean water, depending on which model is chosen. While whole house systems provide water to every fixture and faucet, these systems have their own individual faucet.
The water from these units can also be connected to your fridge to provide clean ice. Being a reverse osmosis system, any and call contaminants can be removed from your water. A good example of proper use would be the removal of high amounts of fluoride when there is a baby or young child in the home.
